Richa Gangopadhyay performed an imaginary function by combining the faces of Sandhya and Karthik's pal's wife (in the movie). The film became produced by Three Angels Studio Pvt. Ltd.

Banner by Priyanka Dutt and was supplied by way of the Vyjayanthi banner. Devi Sri Prasad scored the soundtrack for the movie. The film turned into launched on 21 December 2012.

Parasuram, who directed Ravi Teja's Anjaneyulu directed the movie and tune director Devi Sri Prasad, who formerly laboured with Ravi Teja for Venky provided the music. Amala Paul and Trisha backed out of the task bringing update troubles paving the way for Kajal Aggarwal to bag the heroine role ultimately. Richa Gangopadhyay eventually received the location of the second heroine in this movie. The movie became named "Sarosthara" however later it become modified to "Sarocharu" which became shown by Richa on Twitter. This is the second movie Ravi Teja is working on with Kajal Agarwal after Veera and with Richa Gangopadhyay after Mirapakay. Nara Rohit, the nephew of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and veteran actors Jayasudha and Chandra Mohan had been employed for crucial roles.
